WHAT WE DO
Program goals
~ improved communication and relationships
~ increased sense of connection
~ improved self-worth and confidence
~ clearer sense of identity and purpose
How we do it
~ come together in community
~ 4 days without electronics or other distractions
~ implement a unique program based on the well accepted Rites of Passage framework taught by The Rites Of Passage Institute
~ incorporate into the program design knowledge and experience of working with teenage girls and research on girls' Rites of Passage
~ apply social work frameworks of critical theory and feminist theory in order to recognise how the wider culture hinders young women and consider how our work can contribute to not just individual, but cultural changes
~ honour and celebrate the transition between childhood and adulthood
~ honour and celebrate the gifts, value, and contributions of each girl and woman
What we achieve
Since 2017 we've run five Radiant Woman retreats.
A total of 72 women have attended our programs.
96% of Mums who gave feedback agree, or strongly agree, that their relationship with their daughter has strengthened and grown as a result of the retreat
99% of all women who gave feedback agree, or strongly agree, that the retreat was beneficial for their own, or their daughter's, growth from girl to women
95% of all woman who gave feedback would recommend Radiant Woman to other young women and families

Testimonials:
"The retreat was amazing. I believe every teenage girl should do this with her mother because it really holds you as you are. I feel I will become, and it has helped me become, a better person." Charlotte, 14
"I also look back on the retreat as my best opportunity to make sure that as Amy and I diverge paths, that our connection stays strong." Jenna, Mum
"Since the retreat I have felt that the communication between Lydia and I has remained strong. We certainly have a much better connection in the sense of understanding each other and getting along significantly better." Shiraz, Mum
